When we visited the Nintendo Tokyo store we were surprised to see a brand new gacha on display for cute Animal Crossing rubber coasters. Lately our little one has grown attached to them to place her drink cup on top of so we figured we would try it out because practical item gacha are the best!

This new flat gashapon series released just a few weeks prior to our visit so it was nice to get a chance at something so new. Of the nine designs we were definitely hoping for the two most recognizable characters Isabelle or Tom Nook however I have played and encountered all the other villagers in this set too and wouldn’t have minded them either. Honestly at first glance we didn’t pay as much mind to the design so much as the practicality of getting a rubber coaster.
Flat gashapon are a series of gacha capsule machines that are specifically made for flat items like uchiwa fans, posters, clear files and cards of various sizes, and much more. My Gacha Luck
My Gacha Luck Summary We ended up pulling Tia the elephant villager as our rubber coaster. This was a happy coincidence as lately our little one has really liked her elephant plushies. Upon further inspection the design and quality of the rubber coaster was a lot better than we had anticipated too. While not as colorful as the other coasters, the tea cup and pot designs decorating the back matched the villager and what we intend to use the coaster for perfectly. The cute tagline “Today is Special” is also a lovely touch to teach our little one about too.
