The SEGA gacha machine corner had a lot of cool limited edition choices in pocket sized merch. While the top machines featured the brand new Persona 30th anniversary protagonists x Bkub Okawa, the mangka behind Pop Team Epic, and Like a Dragon character heads I decided to check out the older machines below.
These machines had amazing SEGA Saturn and Mega Drive game cartridge replicas. They looked really fun and I know my brother would love some but the odds didn’t look to be in my favor for what I wanted to pull in each with the few coins I had on hand.
Instead I opted for these SEGA Store Tokyo exclusive Sonic the Hedgehog acrylic keychains! Why? Well because my favorite Sonic character the Chao was featured and they’re almost never featured alone on any merch. Now the odds were definitely playing against me more than some of the other machines but I figured it would be a fun pull regardless!
My Gacha Luck Summary I can’t say I’m surprised the Chao didn’t come home but I am surprised that my second choice Shadow the Hedgehog appeared instead. As I’ve mentioned in my Sonic live review before Sonic Battle Adventure 2 is one of my favorite Sonic games ever and Shadow was one of those characters that always stuck with me from that time. While I will always miss the Chao Garden it’s great to see more Shadow merch and content these days so I will happily brandish his keychain around. Or he may end up with a Shadow superfan friend of mine but either way he’ll got to a good home.
