We tried out one of the brand new Pokémon 30th anniversary gacha. This time in the form of Pokéball shaped projector lights featuring the 3 starter Pokémon from each of the current 9 regions in the main series. At just 300 yen this is one of the cheapest gacha out there especially for a big IP like Pokémon. I only grabbed one but honestly may go back for more because we were surprised at how nice the quality was and even more by how much our little one has taken to it.
The Pokéball is really well made and the light button is very subtle sitting on he top. I do wish the quality of the 30th anniversary tag was a bit better as it really is just a laminated paper tag. It would have been nice if it was at least a plastic one but for the price it’s hard to complain too much. The Pokéball is very light weight and our little one loves playing with it. For adults it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and is roughly the same size as the Pokémon Go Pokéball or most smaller Pokéball keychains.

My Gacha Luck Summary We got the Paldea region evolved form of the 3 starter Pokémon from the latest main game series. I would have been happy with any of them really since it was just meant to be a fun toy for our little one but I’m glad it was the Paldea starters. Our little one actually chose her first Pokémon from these starters so they have a lot of memories for her already.

The projected image is very vibrant and a huge hit with our little one. She is fascinated by it and it has entertained her endlessly when we can project onto dark or shadowed areas. We definitely recommend this for little ones, with supervision, and collectors and fans alike. I have a feeling we’ll be picking up more the next time we run into a machine so we’ll see what starters we end up with next!
