I got super lucky when I decided to check out the Bandai Namco Cross Store gashapon machines and heard staff announcing they were opening up the brand new Monster Hunter Marker Accessory gacha right then and there. We were allowed to pull two at a time from a machine and line up again for more to avoid congestion. This was my very first time pulling for capsule toys right when they were getting released at a store so I had to line up and give it a try. I’m a huge Monster Hunter fan and I also love collecting marker accessories because they’re very useful as keychains or wrapping around on umbrellas and the like making them easier to identify.

As this is the first series of Monster Hunter marker accessory gachas it features a lineup of fan favorites. There are 6 different types: Rathalos, Zinogre, Mizutsune, Tigrex, Nargacuga, and Khezu.

My Gacha Luck

My Gacha Luck Summary

I was hoping to get a Rathalos, Zinogre, or Mizutsune since they are among my favorite monsters. What I was not expecting was to get three of the same monster and for that to end up being the Khezu. I will admit when I first saw images of this gacha series I did think that it was the best looking design of all. I also have a lot of friends who like the monster so I suppose it is nice to have multiples. But for my first try at brand new gashapon on release day it was a pretty disappointing experience. At least I was able to get a Nargacuga so I didn’t end up with all of my capsule toys being the same.

It’s rare I pull so many of the same capsule toy I can take a picture of every angle of it at once. So enjoy all the details of the Khezu miniature. Just in time for its upcoming return in Monster Hunter Ascendance too. Talk about the new pick me monster.

Ironically when I stepped aside to let my little one open the gacha for fun as we went through the rest of Sunshine City she was very excited to get the Khezu. She kept waving it around excitedly as if she was on a monster adventure of her own so I’m glad she got so much joy out of it. At the very least it was worth the pain of pulling three of the same gacha in a row but thus is the danger of the gashapon collector life.
