The special Pokémon 30th anniversary Pikachu plushies are slowly getting restocked online and in Pokémon Centers around Japan. If you missed out the first time like us be sure to check them out and grab yours while they’re back! While you’re at it also nab one of the new Pokémon Trading Card Game 30th Celebration shopping bags.
The plushies were first released back in March 2026 at the beginning of the year’s 30th anniversary celebration activities. They come in a regular sized and smaller mascot keyring version. We ended up picking up the smaller version since that was the only one currently in stock at the Tokyo Station Pokémon Center. Pictured above was the stock of both plushies at the Pokémon Center Tokyo DX courtesy of my friend.
We also noticed brand new shopping bags that are themed around the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration collection and just had to pick up one of them as well.
The 30th anniversary Pikachu plushie mascot is full of so many subtle and cute details. The colors are vibrant and sparkly and looks more like a golden Pikachu.
]The keyring is also a sturdy hard plastic material and shaped like a Pokeball.
The tag attached to the plushie is shaped like the 30th anniversary Pikachu logo.
The actual tag features beautiful art of the Pikachu design as well and a great little piece to keep attached or add to a scrapbook later.
On the other hand the Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration themed shopping eco bag is quite large and sturdy and features the main art from the packs.
On the backside there is another Pikachu filled surprise of many of the new Pikachu cards and the 30th anniversary logo. While it’s still hard getting your hands on the actual cards it’s nice to get something with the new expansion designs on it.
It was actually thanks to fans posting about the restock in stores online that I knew to try to check them out when I did so a big thank you to them!
Also if you happen to stop by any Pokémon Center store in Japan throughout the month of October be sure to find a staff member dressed up and tell them “trick-or-treat” to get a large B5 sized Pokémon Halloween card.
If you happen to purchase two plushies you’ll get a special Halloween themed bag to fit them in and stickers to decorate. The 30th anniversary Pikachu plushies also count toward these cute extras so feel free to pick up both and get some Halloween themed goodies!
